Cabin Crew Initial Licensing Training (SACAA Aligned)
Cabin Crew Initial Licensing training is designed in full accordance with the requirements and syllabus prescribed by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA). The programme provides aspiring cabin crew members with the comprehensive knowledge, practical skills, and safety competencies required for initial cabin crew licensing and operational readiness within a commercial aviation environment.
The training covers the full SACAA-approved cabin crew syllabus, including aviation legislation and responsibilities, safety and emergency procedures, aircraft familiarisation, human factors and crew resource management, first aid, dangerous goods awareness, aviation security, survival training, human trafficking awareness and passenger handling. Emphasis is placed on both theoretical instruction and competency-based training, ensuring learners are able to manage normal, abnormal, and emergency situations confidently and in compliance with regulatory standards.
This course prepares candidates to meet SACAA licensing requirements and supports the development of competent, safety-focused cabin crew who are equipped to protect passengers, crew, and aircraft while maintaining professionalism and service standards throughout all phases of flight.
Who Should Attend?
Aspiring cabin crew and licenced cabin crew who have not operated in more than 36 months.
Course Format
This course includes comprehensive theoretical instruction and practical hands-on training to ensure real-world readiness.

Minimum Requirements
- A Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Certificate
- A Valid Class 4 Medical Certificate, issued by a SACAA Designated Medical Examiner (NB: This cannot be done by a General Medical Practitioner)
- Age 18 and older (A minimum 18 years old at the time of writing the SACAA Exam)
- Proficiency in the English Language (Read, Write and Speak)
- Ability to Swim in water, with the aid of a Life Jacket
- An English Language Competence Assessment shall be done before the acceptance of any student for initial cabin crew training.
